Village Events are allotted $4,000 dollars in the annual Village budget. The majority of that amount is used to pay costs such as licensing music, support staffing of events by RHPD & Red Hook Village Highway department, repair and maintenance of Village events equipment (stage, lights, stage towing trailer, event garbage cans, etc), as well as contracting post-event clean up such as street sweepers. Additional expenses are covered by community sponsors.
held monthly on the third Mondays, at 6 pm in person at Village Hall. email email@example.com
Hardscrabble Community Association / Hardscrabble Day Subcommittee
Hardscrabble Day has been a community celebration since 1975. It was first thrown by the Town and both Villages’ bicentennial committees. Later Hardscrabble celebrations were organized by a variety of organizations including the Egbert Benson Historical Society (now known as Historic Red Hook), The Lions Club, the Chamber of Commerce. For the last decade or so, it has been thrown by the Village. The event is primarily funded by generous community sponsors.
