  3. The Village of Red Hook will be conducting its  annual flushing of fire hydrants to remove minerals and sediment that build up over time. This will ensure that all fire hydrants are in good working order.  Flushing is scheduled this year from June 1st to June 12th, 2020.

Work will be conducted Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.

Low Pressure, discoloration or cloudiness can be expected following hydrant flushing in your area.  Generally, this will clear up by running cold water for several minutes.  Although the water is still considered safe to use during this time, customers should refrain from doing laundry and avoid running hot water, as mineral sediments can accumulate in your water heater.
